We’re on the search for new volunteer advisers to join our team in Esher. If you’re looking for an interesting and rewarding volunteer role that helps local people find a way forward with their problems then come along to our Volunteer Open Morning on Wednesday 29th July to find out more.
No previous experience is needed to join us as a volunteer adviser as full training is provided, though you must be good with people with a friendly manner and be comfortable using computers and learning different IT platforms.
We’re starting our next adviser training programme soon. Training is mixture of self-study or group sessions (for half a day a week) combined with in-office observation and admin support (for half a day a week) for upto six months (depending on how much time you can dedicate to studying). Once trained, you’ll be expected to volunteer at least one day (or two half days) a week for at least two years.
Volunteering with us offers a great way to increase your employability, build confidence, learn new skills and make an enormous difference to the lives of local people. Our volunteer advisers come from a range of backgrounds including retired people, people getting back into work after career breaks, people with part-time jobs and students.
Interested? Email us on recruitment@eshercab.org.uk to let us know that you’d like to attend the Open Morning and we will send you more information.
