Get help applying for Universal Credit

Our Help to Claim service can support you in the early stages of your Universal Credit claim, from the application, through to your first payment.

Help to Claim is a dedicated service from Citizens Advice. It’s free, independent and confidential. Our trained advisers can help with things like how to gather evidence for your application or how to prepare for your work coach appointment.

Independent Financial Advice Clinic

We offer a free and independent financial advice service for anyone who lives or work in Elmbridge.

The clinic – which is held on a Tuesday (first appointment at 15:45) – provides generic advice through a telephone appointment on any aspect of financial advice such as mortgages, endowments, equity release, financial planning, pensions (including pension splitting), inheritance tax and savings and investments, review of any financial mis-selling or complaints about investment performance.

The clinic is run by Howard Robinson, a local independent financial adviser with over 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector.

We provide access to local solicitors Henry Crisp & Co.  Interviews take place in their offices in Kingston.

Personal Independence Payments (PIP)

We can help you with all benefits but we now have a specialist PIP team who can assist you with the whole process of applying for the new disability payments.
