Become A Volunteer

About being a Volunteer with the Esher and district Citizens Advice Service

Quite simply without our dedicated volunteers we could not operate. All of our 34 advisers are highly trained volunteers and we are fortunate in how much they work on behalf of our clients.

By volunteering with us you will be playing an active part in improving the lives of local people and influencing both national and local policies and practices through our research and campaigns work. As a volunteer adviser you will get excellent training, learn new skills and become part of an enthusiastic team. We require a two year commitment from potential volunteer advisers.

In addition to volunteer advisers we also have roles for volunteers to assist with fundraising, admin support,  research and campaigns and trustee board members.

Our volunteers should reflect our local community and we actively encourage people of any :

· age

· being or becoming a transsexual person

· being married or in a civil partnership

· being pregnant or having a child

· disability

· race including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin

· religion, belief or lack of religion/belief

· sex

· sexual orientation
